RAAF Richmond Gliding Club is located at RAAF Base Richmond on the western outskirts of Sydney, Australia. It provides gliding training to members of all skill levels. From someone that does not know anything about aviation to someone with a powered flying license extending their wings into a different style of flying. We all believe that gliding is an excellent way to start off a flying career as it gives you the extra required knowledge in the way the aircraft work and it is also one of the most inexpensive forms of skillful flying.
Having no engine and staying airborne is something that may not be imagined by too many people.
The possibilities of staying up in the air are extensive with hot pockets of rising thermal air, wave lift and also ridge lift providing the fuel for hours of soaring.
